Kashmir Box

Kashmir Box was founded in 2011 in Srinagar by Muheet Mehraj and Kashif Ahmad, two young entrepreneurs moved by the struggles of local Kashmiri artisans to build them a global marketplace. The idea was to bring the world to the artisans’ doorstep rather than the other way around.

The platform has since grown to bring together more than 10,000 local artisans and farmers, championing Kashmir’s handicrafts, handlooms, and Pashmina traditions while selling each artisan’s work under their own name.
