Kay Kraft was founded in 1993 by Khalid Mahmood Khan and Shahnaz Khan, starting as a home-based boutique working with Bangladeshi handloom artisans. The brand set out to bring traditional handloom fashion, jamdani, khadi, endi, and other regional weaves, to a younger, urban audience who wanted heritage craft without it feeling old-fashioned.

More than three decades on, Kay Kraft works with thousands of artisans and small entrepreneurs across Bangladesh’s major weaving regions, and has become one of the country’s leading fashion and lifestyle brands as a result.
