WeaverStory was founded by Nishant Malhotra in 2015, launched on National Handloom Day after a conversation with a weaver in Banaras convinced him India’s handloom tradition needed a better platform. What started with a handful of sarees from a single weaver has grown into a network spanning more than 1,300 weaving families across the country.

The brand draws from craft clusters nationwide, Banarasi silk, Chanderi, Kashmiri weaves, Bengal’s handloom tradition, and Kanchipuram silk among them, and runs skill workshops with weavers’ families to help build financial independence alongside preserving the craft itself.
